What you need to do is to press the ´disenchant´ button every time an armor item drops, if you win the roll then the item will disenchanted automatically and you will get the enchanting materials straight to your bag. Choosing disenchanting is just like choosing greed, that means that if anyone chooses Need then they will get the item no matter how high or low they roll. Enchanting Materials is always selling for quite a lot at the Auction House, and people are power leveling their professions now with the Cataclysm expansion, so the demand is really high.

Making Gold With Grays

Most people just throw away gray items once they get it in their bag, but these gray items adds up to loads of gold during your leveling time. Same thing with Cloth but these should be put at the Auction House. Cloth like Wool can sell for up to 30 gold per stack. It’s also very important that you have the largest bags possible.

In parts of China where a second child is allowed, after a daughter is the first born,  for the second is 143, suggesting that many choose to abort a second girl fetus in favor of trying again for a boy.

Estimates of China’s actual population difference in 2005 pointed to 1.1 million excess males, with men fewer than 20 exceeding the number of females by about 32 million.

These men will be unable to marry, in societies where marriage is regarded as virtually universal, and where social status and acceptance depend, in large part, on being married and creating a new family.

Because they may lack a stake in the existing social order, it is feared that they will become bound together in an outcast culture, turning to antisocial behavior and organized crime, thereby threatening societal stability and security.

Other concerns include the possibility that the surge of unmarried men will boost the sex industry, which has already expanded in India and China over the past 10 years.

However, the part played by a high sex ratio in this expansion is impossible to isolate; there is no evidence that numbers of sex workers are greater in areas with high sex ratios.

I started like most people. Levelling up, killing mobs, and letting out a big “Yipee” if a decent “green” item dropped. Now and then when I managed to get a “Blue” It felt like my birthday and Christams rolled into one. BUt every time I levelled up, I would go to the auction house. Soon I had next to no gold again. Why was this?

Does this sound familiar?

In the first of a quick series of articles I’m going to float some pretty obvious, but rarely used ideas to you and see if you can’t improve your gold productivity with little or no effort at all.

My first “revelation” is. wait for it..”Sorting”.

It’s as simple as that. Items come in many different categories, and over time you will get to

instinctively sort in your head. My idea is to follow through on this, to really sort the items, and to

treat them differently dependent on the category they fit in. Here are the categories I use, you may have different ideas.

Non Stackable Gray Trash -The worst of the worst. Very low level items. Normal equipment, that does not stack in an inventory slot. Yes the fact that it is a sword or a belt might make you think “I’ll keep that” but at low level these items are almost worthless, they certainly won’t sell at auction. Ditch these as soon as you can. Although you should never throw anything away (vendors will buy anything that isn’t quest related) but if you are stuck in the middle of no-where, no vendor and no post box and better loot to collect, then these should be the first to go.

Stackable Gray Trash. A surprisingly large step up from non stackable trash. These grey items – often interestingly named animal parts – beaks, legs, etc. stack, often to 20 per inventory slot. OK one of these from level 15 mobs is only worth 40 copper, but 20 is worth 8 silver. Of course you want to vendor these as soon as possible, but they are certainly worth a lot more bag space than none stackable items.

Whites. Leaving the stackable and none stackable distinction behind (I won’t repeat the ideas for every item class) Whites can often have value. Some are ingredients and reagents used in crafting. Others are pretty useless. Again it’s weapons and armour that, above about level 12, no-one uses. So you need to split whites into two sections.

Crafting requirements and vendor trash. Then check the auction house. Some of these whites, even those available before level 20, can be incredibly valuable if sold in bulk. If you take a gathering profession you may find your backpack full of these. Remember it’s not just the main harvest item that’s worth gold, the other items (stone for miners, scraps for Skinners and all sorts of stuff for herbalists) Market these, and anything that looks of value, at the auction house. At low level these good whites will make you more gold than any amount of low level greens.

The final category I use when levelling is BoE Greens and Blues. Do you remember the first time you looted a Blue? Chances are that if it was a couple of years back ,then it had some decent value at the auction house. These days low level (below 40) blues are rarely worth much. Of course there are exceptions, and this is where you need to be most careful. Some can still be fabulously valuable, others not worth the dust they disenchant into. A few tips. If the level requirement end in a “9″ (i.e. 19, 29, 39) then this might be a twinking item for PvP players. If it has the prefix “Champions” then it may well be more valuable. Finally you need some experience here. Projectile Blues (guns and bows) tend to have value, but there are many other items that could also be worthy.

Unless you run Auctioneer or similarly regularly, you may not have a record of the exact item you are thinking of selling on record so look at the stats. Good focussed stats that would make the item valuable for a player of a particular class might point to a valuable item.

Sort these low level BoE greens and blues as Auction or Disenchant. If you can’t disenchant yourself see if a guild member will do it for you. Check the value of the essences/dusts ect. that may result from disenchanting and see which offers the best value – the finished item, or the results of the disenchant

One set of items you can’t auctionl are the BoP Greens and Blues. Do you need them? They are probably quest rewards, and therefore you have the simple choice to either use them, or vendor them. There is no other choice. Having a lovely blue robe in your backpack for weeks”because it’s a blue and has a really pretty icon” is a waste of time and space, Use it or ditch it. Again if you are an enchanter consider the value and probabilities of disenchanting.

At the end of the day there can be many more categories, but with these simple rules you can keep your backpacks and bank vaults clear, and make the most gold from what you pick up during normal play.

3 Great Spots

Felwood – In Feral Scar Vale which can be found at the spot (37,44) you can find a whole lot of 49-51 level mobs which are bears. There a whole bunch of them that gather around this area (around 15) which means you can constantly be killing. They have pretty quick respawn rate so you’ll have your hands full with all the bears you can kill. Expect to collect items such as bear jaws, bear flanks, and large bear bones.

Felwood – In this spot (42,16) you can find a bunch of level 51-51 demons. I like farming these guys because they have a pretty solid drop rate – about 1 per every 6 kills. Expect to collect runecloth and felcloth.

Azshara – In the spot (16,70) you can find a place called Shadowsong Shire. I like farming this area for the Highborne ghosts (level 44-47). Expect to collect mageweave and green items. Since they’re casters, it’s really easy to kill these guys. This is one of my favorite farming spots.

Important Things To Note:

Although these are solid world of warcraft gold making tips, farming tends to be extremely time consuming. Sure you can make a lot of gold but its going to require a big chunk of your day. Friends of mine that make insane gold farm for about 12-16 hours per day. If you think about it, they spend more time farming then they do playing the parts of wow they actually enjoy. I wasn’t willing to make the same sacrifice so I invested in a gold making guide. I did this because they promote techniques that are very efficient with your time.
